DVC Resorts & Benefits
Updated March 2023
Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resorts are classed as deluxe accommodation by Disney. These resorts not only have incredible theming but they offer some of the best transportation options and room sizes.
These resorts also come with an additional park perk. On select nights some parks offer extended evening hours for deluxe resort guests. This means you could be in the park for an extra 2 hours at no extra cost.
We enjoyed extended evening hours at Magic Kingdom and were able to walk straight on to ‘Peter Pan’s Flight’ something that is unheard of during normal park hours.
The extended evening hours can be found in the ‘My Disney Experience’ app. On the ‘Home’ page scroll down to the park opening times. Select ‘All Hours’, this will give you the opening hours for each park. As you select different days you will then be able to find ‘Extended Evening hours’ For example on the 12th April ‘Magic Kingdom’ is open until 1 am for Deluxe resort guests.
All Disney resort guests can take advantage of ‘Early Entry’, as you can see ‘Magic Kingdom’ opens at 8.30am to resort guests. Knowing which days have ‘Extended Evening Hours’ will help you plan your ‘Park Reservations’, but remember if you have a ‘Park Hopper’ ticket you don’t need a ‘Park Reservation’ for the park with ‘Extended Evening Hours’.
For example ‘Animal Kingdom’ closes at 8pm on the 12th April so you could make your ‘Park Reservation’ for ‘Animal Kingdom’ and spend the whole day there and then ‘Park Hop’ to ‘Magic Kingdom’ and still get about 4 hours in that park. If you really wanted to make the most of your day you could also use the ‘Early Entry’ and be in ‘Animal Kingdom’ from 7.30am! That would mean you could have 16 1/2 hours in the parks.
Another fantastic perk of staying in a deluxe resort and getting access to ‘Extended Evening Hours’ is the option to join the extra ‘Virtual Queue’ which opens up at 6pm for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ at ‘Epcot’ and ‘Tron’ at ‘Magic Kingdom’.
There are 11 DVC resorts, and we explain what DVC is and how you can be a part of it on our page Disney Vacation Club. You can find out about all the other Disney Resorts on our page Disney World Resort Hotels.
As we stay in each of the DVC resorts we will create a new page giving you information about the resort and our thoughts. Please click on each resort name to find out more.
