Annual Passes Returning
Annual passes are finally returning to Walt Disney World!
If you weren’t aware, annual pass sales were taken off sale during the Covid pandemic. Renewals for anyone with an annual pass did come back, but new sales weren’t available. Up until now - Well 20th April 2023.
There are currently 4 types of annual pass.
Disney Pixie Dust Pass
Disney Pirate Pass
Disney Sorcerer Pass
Disney Incredi Pass
Disney Pixie Dust & Disney Pirate Passes are only available for Florida Residents
Disney Sorcerer Pass is available for Florida Residents. - Importantly, they are also available for Disney Vacation Club Direct Members.
Disney Incredi Pass is available for everyone!
DVC Direct Members can purchase the Disney Sorcerer Pass online starting April 13 2023– a full week before sales of all Annual Passes resume for all guests.
A limited number of these passes are going to be available. However there will be options to buy throughout the year.
Currently we have a 14 day park ticket each for our June 2023 trip, brought direct through Disney’s UK website.
We will be investigating if we can upgrade these tickets to the Disney Sorcerers Pass and if its worth it. We’ll let you know our findings.
As it stands - The 14 day tickets were £539 each and at the moment the Sorcerers pass is £843 per person ($969 plus tax). So we would need to go twice a year to get the benefit of an annual pass.
Also, its worth noting that the 14 day tickets include Photo Pass, where as the Photo Pass is a $99 add on for all Disney Annual Pass holders.
And again, something to be aware of - Disney Sorcerers Pass does have some blockout dates (These are dates were you can not use your pass to enter a park).
These are -
All Parks
November 22nd - 25th 2023
December 20th - 31st 2023
January 1st - 3rd 2024
Hollywood Studios (additional to above dates)
May 4th
Incredi Pass does not have any blockout dates.
While it is good to see Disney Annual Passes returning to Walt Disney World, it will be interesting to see if these are worth it.
Needing to go to Disney at least twice a year to make a pass a viable finical option and the fact that the 14 day ticket is such good value for UK residents, will definitely be a deciding factor in if these are indeed popular with UK Disney fans.
